Counselling, anger work and coaching
I work with adults, online. Each of these starts the same way: a free initial conversation where you can ask questions and we can think about what might suit you.
Counselling
Counselling
£50 per session, up to 50 minutes
Counselling is a chance to step back from everyday life and pay attention to what's going on for you. You might want to explore emotions that feel difficult, your relationships, things that have happened to you, or changes you're facing. Or you might simply know that something needs to shift.
You set the direction, and I adapt how I work to what you find helpful. I've worked with adults in community and therapeutic settings.
You don't need a diagnosis or a particular reason to come. You can read more about how I work.
My specialism
Anger management counselling
£50 per session, up to 50 minutes
Anger usually makes sense once you understand what it's protecting.
Anger is a normal emotion, and often an important one. It can tell us that something is unfair, that a line has been crossed, or that we're hurting. It tends to become a problem when it feels out of your control: when it comes out in ways you regret, damages relationships or work, or gets pushed down until it shows up somewhere else.
Working with anger is the area I've specialised in, including leading an adult anger management project and training other counsellors.
What we might work on
- Noticing the early signs of anger, in your body as well as your thoughts
- Understanding what tends to set it off, and why those situations matter so much
- Looking at what sits underneath it, such as hurt, fear, shame or exhaustion
- Thinking about the impact on your relationships, work and how you feel about yourself
- Finding other ways to respond that feel more like your choice
We can agree together how structured you'd like this to be. Some people want practical focus from the start; others want time to understand where their anger comes from. Many want a bit of both.
It doesn't matter whether you decided to look for help yourself or someone else suggested it. You're welcome to get in touch either way.
Coaching
Coaching
£35 per session, up to 30 minutes
Coaching is more forward-looking than counselling. It suits people who are broadly OK but want to think something through properly: a decision, a change in work or life, building confidence, or getting clearer about what they want next and how to get there.
Sessions are a mix of thinking out loud, asking useful questions and agreeing what you'll try between sessions. I bring the same things to coaching as to counselling: careful listening, honesty, and respect for your own judgement about your life.
Coaching or counselling?
The line isn't always sharp. If you're not sure which would suit you, we can talk it through in the initial conversation. If, during coaching, something comes up that would be better explored in counselling, I'll say so and we can decide together what to do.

Good to know
I don't have any in-person availability at the moment, so sessions are currently online. If you'd prefer to meet in person, let me know and I can tell you when that changes.
I work with anyone aged 16 and over. The initial conversation is free, and there's no obligation to book anything afterwards.
Book a block of 6 sessions and get 10% off: £270 for counselling or anger management counselling (usually £300), or £189 for coaching (usually £210). There's no pressure to book a block, and paying session by session is fine. Concessions are available by discussion. If cost is a barrier, please talk to me about it.
