Counselling
Counselling
Regular time to talk about whatever is on your mind: feelings, relationships, things that have happened, or a sense that something isn't right. You don't need to know exactly what you want to say.
About counsellingCounselling and coaching for adults
I'm Annie Andrews, a counsellor working with adults. I offer counselling, anger management counselling and coaching, each shaped around you: what you want to talk about, how you'd like to work, and a pace that feels manageable.

Hello
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes there's something specific: a relationship that has gone wrong, a loss, a feeling that won't shift. Sometimes it's harder to name, and you just know that things don't feel right.
I don't expect you to arrive with a neat explanation. My job is to listen carefully, to understand how things are for you, and to work out with you what might help. You won't be judged, and you won't be asked to fit yourself into someone else's idea of how you should be feeling.
I've worked as a counsellor in community, educational and therapeutic settings, with adults, children and young people. That range has shown me that no two people want quite the same thing from counselling.

About counsellingMy specialism
One-to-one counselling focused on anger: what sets it off, what sits underneath it, and how it affects you and the people around you. Anger is the area I've specialised in.
About anger management counsellingCoaching
A more forward-looking way of working, for when you want to think through a decision, a change, or what you want next, and work out how to get there.
About coachingWhat people bring
When your mind won't settle, or everyday things have started to feel like too much.
A harsh inner voice, or a sense that you're never quite good enough.
Feelings that seem to take over, or that you've learned to keep locked away.
Patterns with partners, family, friends or colleagues that keep repeating or keep hurting.
Things that happened, recently or long ago, that still shape how you feel now.
Working out who you are, where you belong, or how to adjust when life shifts.
Feeling flat, heavy or stuck, whether or not you'd call it depression.
You don't need a label or a reason. "I'm not sure" is a good enough place to begin.
Counselling should be shaped around the person, and what feels helpful to them.
My approach
My approach is person-centred and integrative. In plain terms, I adapt how I work to you rather than following a fixed script.
My part is to offer a relationship that is honest, warm and non-judgemental, where you can think out loud and make sense of things in your own way. What we do is guided by your experiences, your needs and what you find useful.
